South Australia has so many aspiring game developers who are talented, creative and determined. My goal is to help these awesome teams bring their visions life.

Development Services

Most of my favourite projects I've been involved in often begin with someone sharing their vision. Something awesome that needs to be brought to life; they just need help with the technical parts.I'm comfortable using whatever technologies are required for the team and project at hand. While this has often entailed Unity for most of the recent projects I have worked on, I'm more than happy to work within Unreal, Godot or even a custom-built engine!

About Me

I've been in love with making video games ever since I first laid hands on Game Maker back in high school. While my development my skills have grown throughout the years, I've also come to another important realisation: I can't help but want to bring other peoples great game ideas to life. The time I spent away from the games industry gave me the opportunity to work on High Performance GPGPU computing tasks, eventually becoming the team lead of a small, tight-knit group of talented software developers. I quickly learnt that my greatest sense of achievement came from enabling my team members to unleash the potential I could see in them.In the end I could only resist the pull of game development for so long. Most of my time these days spent as Lead Programmer for Paper Cactus Games, though you'll often find me discussing all things game development with the amazing folk at GamePlus Adelaide. If you're looking for a passionate programmer with two decades of experience, or someone who has worked alongside dozens of fledgling indie studios, I'd love to get in touch.

Business and Grant Advice

Making games can be hard; getting a game studio up and running can be even harder. The great news is that there's no need to go it alone. While the focus of my passion has always been the games we make and the teams that make them, an unavoidable outcome of this is that I've spent a lot of time involved in the more business-related aspects of game development.Production planning and budgeting, grant writing, pitching to publishers, running Kickstarters, releasing games, I've been through it all.If a even a few hours of my time can save someone weeks, months or even years of headaches and stress, I can't think of a more valuable way to contribute to the games community. If you want to learn more about the opportunities that might be available for your studio, or are looking for assistance with putting together a grant application or a pitch deck, please feel free to get in touch!
